"Bless You"

“Bless You”

When someone sneezes we normally hear a phrase that has become one of the most popular. The phrase “Bless You” was used for the first time many years ago, thousands even. Pope Gregory the Great began using the phrase because it meant the good wishes for health people would give the sick. During the time sneezing was one of the first symptoms of the Bubonic Plague that took place then. When people said “Bless You” they were praying for your health and recuperation.
