Zayn Malik is an international superstar, acclaimed world-wide alongside his bandmates from the renowned pop sensation band, One Direction. Malik, was born in a town in Northern England named Bradford. According to his parents, Patricia and Yaser Malik, Zayn demonstrated love for music from a young age, singing old songs with a great passion. As he continued to grow his parents noticed that his love for music never once diminished through the years. When Zayn was only 17 years old he auditioned for the British talent show, The X-Factor. During a round of eliminations Zayn was cut alongside other male contestants. By judges’ choice Zayn was brought back into the competition to form a band with fellow competitors: Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne. The band known as One Direction came in at third place but went on to gain even more fame than the winner himself. One Direction is the most famous band in the world and has been able to break more records than the Beetles ever could. Selling out stadiums, performing all over the world, debuting songs and albums at number one in almost every country, with a documentary to capture their success, and a store, Zayn Malik and the rest of One Direction are living the ultimate dream.
