“I dare you to stand alone”- Thomas S. Monson

This statement encourages us to be able to do what we believe is the right thing to do even if everyone else is doing the complete opposite. With this statement, we are being dared to be able to stand up for what is right without allowing anyone else’s opinions or actions take part in our decisions. We must always have the courage and common sense to do the things that benefit not only us but everyone around us as well. An example of standing alone is when we attend a party and there is a lot of underage drinking going on. We have the power to either oblige with people’s requests or drink when we know it is wrong, or to be the person who does not take part in it because we know it can hurt us.

This statement talks about the fact that even if you are doing something wrong and you know it is, it cannot and will never be considered right, no matter what absurd reasons you can come up with on how it would be the contrary. Right is right and wrong is wrong, like it or not. You can’t decide the effects and consequences of your actions in order to benefit you in any way.

We are always being tested on obedience every day we are under orders that we must follow and commands we must obey. If we listen to what is being asked of us our lives become so much better because all doors are opened up for us. Obedience is the key to everything in life no matter what it is.

This statement refers to what we do in life. You shouldn't go around judging and getting into people's business because at the end of the day they're them and you are you so you should concentrate in getting what you want in life and not what the person next to you is doing or getting in life but what you want to accomplish. It also means we're not all the same so we get different things. Maybe what your friend did yesterday or will do in ten years is not what you deserve.
