“I would
prefer even to fail with honor than win by cheating.”-Sophocles
This statement is very important because it can be applied to
one’s life on a daily basis. It reminds us that doing things honestly and
losing is an absolute better option than winning by cheating. In a soccer game
for example, the better team is always the one who plays by the rules whether
they win or lose. The team that cheats is and will always be the dirty team who
did not have dignity and self-respect that is necessary so they turned to
cheating in order to feel better about themselves.
