St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day

Every year on March 17, we celebrate the traditional religious feast day that was initially meant for the saint of Ireland. Over the years this day has become an international festivity celebrated all over the world by the Irish, and those who are not Irish as well. St. Patrick was one of Christianity’s most known saints. He was believed to have come from a very wealthy English family and had been captured by Irish raiders who held him captive in Ireland. In efforts to feel less lonely, he began to turn to religion and became a devoted Christian. On St. Patrick’s day we wear green to celebrate because green is the color of the 3 leaf clover which Patrick used to symbolize the Holy Trinity.
